Ubisoft have recently announced that a major content update is inbound for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The update will be released for all platforms the game is available on, and should be landing at some point in July. Included in the update are three maps, a bunch of changes for the online multiplayer, along with an all new High Stakes mode. The update will be available for free. Given that it adds so much to the game, it seems pretty generous. Dubbed Fan Pack Content, it seems that Ubisoft will be pleasing fans with the update. holo` recently brought you all the news on the new Fan Pack for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2, explaining that it was due in July for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Well, July is here, and we've got the Fan Map Pack all ready for download for the PC gamers among us. You console fans will have to wait a little longer, although it's still promised for you this month! This free, 150MB pack contains relit versions of Murdertown and CQB Training, and a new version of the much-requested fan favourite, Calypso Casino. ...none of the actual layouts have changed, but the new "dark" maps feature a spooky atmosphere and may involve the use of night vision. Calypso Casino also has new lighting, and has some revamped textures, too. To see how well they work, try 'em out in all Versus modes, or in Terrorist Hunt! * Calypso Casino: The fan favorite from Rainbow Six Vegas is back by popular demand. All Rainbow Six Vegas 2 game modes are supported, including co-op terrorist hunt. * Murdertown – Dark: Experience this map's intense, close-quarter action underneath the cover of darkness. * CQB Training – Dark: This map is set at nighttime, so expect more tactical assaults as players must use their night vision to spot enemies. It's not immediately obvious whether or not you'll need the 1.03 patch in order to run these maps, but I'd assume given they were both released in the same week, it's a pretty good bet that you should grab both. Still no news on when either of these new updates will be hitting the console versions, but if you're a fan of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on the PS3 or Xbox 360, stick around and we'll keep you posted.
